Have You Seen This Before? (In Waikiki)
You’ve seen this kind of shot before. Sunset and a city street. Fine. To be something memorable, this kind of photograph would have to be spectacular. This one isn’t. So, let’s go with something completely different.
Low res screen grabs. I used the Find Edges filter in Photoshop. That works great, sometimes, with hard edges but gives up when outlining soft edges like grass and trees. Cutting out the downtown corridor allowed me to backfill with the original photograph which was doing an OK job of portraying the vegetation. Then it’s on to the Art Part, filtering and such to get the end result. Or, at least a jumping off point to something else.
Water. Compelling in any form. This is practical water. Feeds the crops which feeds you.
