Elephant Revival covers White Rabbit by the Jefferson Airplane. The extremely talented singer has something of Grace Slick’s range (and some interesting vibrato) but none of her power. Their performance sounds really good by itself but not when you compare it to the Jefferson Airplane. I am glad, however, that Elephant attempted it. This starts at 1:30 after the group’s strange run up:
And here is Grace at Woodstock, powering over the song like a locomotive. She’s covering her ear to to hear some feedback, the onstage sound system so poor that she can’t hear what is being sent to the audience.
