There Are Scapegoats in Every War

Such a strange war. Not against another people but against ourselves. Fighting each other over food, suspicious when someone walks too close, wary of everybody, even our neighbors. We have met the enemy and he is us.

As with all wars, politics often trumps humanity. Captain Crozier is the latest example of never learning from history. Or, perhaps, for the politicians, not caring.
